Amanda obtained a first-class science degree (including a year in France) before starting her career in 1996 as a finance lawyer in a large magic circle law firm. Following that, she spent thirteen years as an in-house lawyer at a global oil giant – 8 years of which were spent advising on multi-billion dollar divestments, joint ventures and commercial contracts (including large outsourcing deals) and 5 years of which were spent managing the global treasury and tax legal team.
She has worked for Garfield Smith – Technology & Data Lawyers since the beginning of 2017 and leads our corporate finance team focusing on investment, restructurings, refinancing and acquisitions advising both early stage companies and private equity and venture capital funds.
When not working Amanda enjoys walking her Goldendoodle, playing tennis and keeping up with the many sporting activities of her three sons.
