Garfield Smith – Technology & Data Lawyers advise on the sale of Benthos, the popular UK open-source streaming platform, to San Francisco-based Redpanda Data Inc.

Redpanda Data Inc, a streaming data pioneer based in San Francisco in the USA, has acquired UK-based Benthos, the popular open-source stream processing platform that enables enterprises to move, integrate and perform transformations on streams of data flowing between systems and data sources. Garfield Smith – Technology & Data Lawyers advised Benthos on the sale to Redpanda Data Inc.

The acquisition completes Redpanda as a unified, end-to-end streaming data platform providing better performance and being simpler to deploy and easier to operate with greater enterprise reliability than its competitors. Redpanda is backed by more than $160 million in funding from Google’s GV fund and other investors.
